Use of Ausforming in Improving Reduced Activation 5%Cr Steels
Abstract
Improvement of reduced activation 5% Cr steels for improved performance of the parts during a thermonuclear reactor, (associated in Nursing enlarged application temperature) for structural materials like 5%Cr steels is crucial. The development of this generation of 5% Cr steels (i.e. EUROFER) is one among the aims of this EURO fusion programme for advanced steels. The goal of this work is to find out the foremost effective thermo-mechanical treatment of reduced activation of ferritic martensitic steels with regard to high-temperature strength. Compatibility of those treatments with industrial production processes is crucial.
