OPTIMIZING MAGNETIC BEHAVIOR OF NANO-CRYSTALLINE CO2CrAl TYPE HEUSLER ALLOY POWDER USING RESPONSE SURFACE METHODOLOGY
Abstract
In the present work, Co2CrAl heusler alloy powder prepared successfully from premix basic powders of Cobalt (Co), Chromium (Cr) and Aluminium (Al) in stoichiometric of 60Co-26Cr-14Al (weight %) by novelistic mechano-chemical route. Mgnetic properties of mechanically alloyed powders were characterized by vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The performed experiment has been designed on the basis of 2 factor 5 level response surface methodology. Experimental results were used to develop a mathematical model between the input process parameters and reasons. Further analysis of variance technique was applied to check the adequacy of developed model and significance of process parameters. Developed model was validated with the help of a case study.
