A Review: Walking Aids

Abstract


Mobility aids or the walking aids are basically devices which help in walking or moving from one place to another place for the patients who are not able to move or walk due to any injury or disability. You may need a crutch or walker or a cane if you have a fear of falling down while walking. You need these devices if there is weight bearing problems and you cannot bear weight in your foot, ankle or knee. Also, you will need a wheelchair if you cannot walk. Getting a walking aid is time taking and needs a good research. It should be of proper measurement and should fit the patient for proving support, if they are not proper fitted it will be uncomfortable and unsafe for the patient.
