Experimental Studies on the Surface-Driven Capillary Flow of Dyed Ethylene Glycol in SU-8 based Microchannel Bends
Abstract
In this work, a total 4 individual SU-8 based microchannel bends were designed and fabricated as microfluidic devices by maskless lithography and indirect bonding technique. Dyed ethylene glycol is used as the working liquid. Effect of channel width on the surface-driven capillary flow of dyed ethylene glycol is studied. Effect of centrifugal force on the surface-driven capillary flow of dyed ethylene glycol is also studied. This work will be useful in bioengineering applications.
