A Review on Carbon Nanotubes

Susmita Mukherjee

Abstract

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs), one of the unique one-dimensional nanomaterials, have gained great attention because of their specific characters, versatile functionalization chemistry, and biological compatibility in the past few decades. In this paper author tried to discuss some important features, different types of CNTs, synthesis methods, purification techniques, some properties and application of the CNTs in various sectors. At last there is conclusion and some scope for research work is also mentioned in this review.
