An Introduction of Graphene: Characterization and Properties

Ishika Govil

Abstract

Graphene - Its outstanding physical features, including as high electrical conductivity, good thermal stability, and superior mechanical strength, graphene, a two-dimensional, single-layer sheet of sp 2 hybridized carbon atoms, has received considerable attention and scientific interest. Other graphene-related compounds, such as graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide, and exfoliated graphite, have been generated on a large scale with consistency. Graphene-based materials are great candidates for inclusion into a wide range of functional materials due to their promising characteristics as well as their ease of processibility and functionalization. Importantly, graphene and its derivatives have been investigated for use in a broad variety of applications, including electrical and photonic devices, sustainable energy, and sensors. Following a broad introduction to graphene and its derivatives, this study will focus on the production, characterization, characteristics, and applications of graphene-based materials.
