Some studies on Heat Pipe Performance Parameters

Nikhil Dev

Abstract

Technology is making its way through human development with new inventions in science and engineering. Control of heat transfer improves system performance in many ways. At present heat pipes are the components with the capability of higher rate of heat transfer. The rate of heat transfer is further dependent upon many parameters such as viscous limit, sonic limit, entrainment limit, capillary limit, boiling limit etc. All these parameters affects the performance of heat pipes. These parameters may be inter-reliant or independent. Therefore, performance analysis of heat pipes makes it necessary to look into the performance parameters and their interdependence so that their role in technology development may be fully understood.
