Abstract

In the last thirty years of composite materials, ceramics and plastics have been important emerging materials. The number of application of composite materials has been grown consistently, penetrating and winning new market requirement continuously. The composite materials forms a significant proportion of the engineered materials their worth as weight saving materials; the present aim is to make them as cost effective. This survey paper discuss about worldwide collection of natural fibers and its application. Also this paper focuss on biomaterials progress in the field of orthopedics. An effort is made to obtain the advantages given by renewable resources for the progress of bio-composite materials based on bio-epoxy resin and natural fibers such as sisalana, Musa specimen, Hibiscus sabdariffa, and its application in bone grafting substitutes.
