Enhancing the Sensing Properties of Nanosensors for Detection of Gases

Abstract

In order to improve commercial gas sensors, many approaches have attempted to modify the sensing properties of metal oxide semiconductor gas sensors in order to achieve higher sensitivity and selectivity. Enhancements of the sensing properties of MOS sensor (Metal Oxide Gas Sensors) materials can be achieved by the development of sensors with nanoscale sizes and structures, such as nanoparticles, nanowires, nanorods etc.
