Short Review on the Features of Nanofluidics as the Nanoscale Fluid Mechanics in Nanotechnology

Subhadeep Mukhopadhyay

Abstract

In this short review, author has reviewed on the features of nanofluidics based on the published literatures. Both of theory and experiment are needed to be developed related to Nanofluidics. Author has made a brief comparison between microfluidics and nanofluidics. Entire fluid mechanics is a branch of classical mechanics having the levels of bulk-fluidics, microfluidics and nanofluidics. Carbon nanotube (CNT) based nanofluidic flow phenomena are an interesting topic towards proper investigations by theory and experiment. According to the available reports, Nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS) and nanofluidic devices together may be useful to generate the nanofluidic circuits. In future, Nanofluidics may have applications in bioengineering and other research-areas
