Abstract

Charge transfer complexes have high molar absorptivities and it’s an important phenomenon in the energy transfer process to increase the conductivity. Charge transfer complexes have been used in organic photovoltaic cells, organic semiconductors. Charge transfer complexes formed between electron donors and acceptors with strong interaction.

In this paper, a Charge transfer complexes (CTC) of some organic semiconductor’s materials have been studied spectrophotometrically in chloroform, when the optical absorption of the CTC corresponds to a well-defined peak, its characterization by optical spectroscopy.  The formation of the complexes depends on the nature of electron donors and acceptors. These polymer complexes can be low-temperature processed and are of potential use as a photoconductor in optoelectronic devices.
