Deformation & Stress Analysis of Pressure Room for Selection of material

A N Singh, J Sai Prakash Sarisa, K K Gupta

Abstract

This paper shows the analysis for Selection of material , design  of pressure chamber cover. The analysis is done for deformation studies in chamber’s surface under negative  pressure ( less than atmospheric pressure)  which lead to the compressive forces acting on the chamber cover to identify any air leak and is modeled in Solid works and Simulation also done in ANSYS. Different thickness of materials are studied in this paper to see the selectivity for physical design based on deformation and stress distribution.  In this study we mainly concentrated on  design and optimizing the  material for best selection for physical prototyping.   Concepts for removing contamination from air from this chamber is out of scope of this article. This study has been carried out due to Novel Corona-virus infection, which is inserting an enormous strain on healthcare infrastructure globally and no hope for proven treatment. This immediate condition leads to develop a system that can help in disinfecting the human and capture & destroy the microorganism and don’t spread the contamination to others in area of use.
